NEW VOICES FEST

The Hallelujah Box
by Allen Miller
The Hallelujah Box is a high-energy satirical drama about a popular hybrid “circus church” whose pastor is under heavy scrutiny due to allegations of several million dollars in tax evasion.
Tin Pan Alley
by Eric Jones
Tin Pan Alley is a time-bending comedy about Jordan, a gifted contemporary Black songwriter who is repeatedly told that his music isn't “Black enough.” Jordan is mysteriously transported to 1921 Tin Pan Alley, where he encounters some of the artists who helped create the sound of American popular music, including Noble Sissle, Eubie Blake, George Gershwin, and Irving Berlin. When Jordan's presence begins altering the past—and ultimately the future—he must decide whether acceptance is worth sacrificing his authentic voice.
